Great Product
I love FRS. I love the extra energy I get to stay awake & stay focused during the day. I would recommend this product to anyone that is having issues with getting sleepy in the middle of the day.
Great Sustained Energy
I am pretty much a sceptic of so-called energy drinks. Most of them give you a quick buzz, then let you down just as hard. But, that being said, I am a cyclist, so I decided to give this a try since Lance has his hand in the company.
I love it. I love it. What I especially love is the fact that it is a gradual release. You don't get that horribly jumpy I-gotta-run-around-the-block feeling. I drink it about 30 minutes before my ride, which is usually 20 to 30 miles, and about a third of the way into the ride it kicks in. I don't get a rush, just a feeling that I can keep going and push a little harder. The energy really does seem to last for a few hours without a horrible crash at the end.
Taste is not bad, not great, but certainly drinkable. I got the orange powder. I put it in a shaker bottle with eight ounces of COLD water, let it sit for a bit, then drink. It reminds me of the orange Tang I used to drink as a kid.
This is a product I will buy again.
Don't waste your $$$$
If your looking for a pick me up, you can forget this one. I tried the powder and the cans of liquid, neither worked for me. Although they did elevate my heart rate.
FRS Hype??
I purchased FRS powdered drink for the energy it would provide (so the packaging suggests). Like many people, I work during the day and the evenings often times bring on another part time if not full time job. As far as energy goes, no more energy for me than taking my daily vitamin in the mornings. I purchased the orange flavored powder which doesn't taste too bad but not a flavor I would want to drink long term. Perhaps I lacked energy because I didn't adhere to the suggested daily intake of more than 1 drink a day (who would want to and how many people could afford it?). In any event, take a vitamin instead (save your money). I'm being generous in giving this product 3 stars only because of the nutritional value.
works well, taste bad
title pretty much says it all. I first tried this stuff out of a can at a Korean restaurant and loved it. This stuff does not taste nearly as good, so I just chug it down. But it works really well. You won't feel a buzz like you do with normal energy drinks but you don't feel a drag 4 hours later just the same.

This helps Joint Pain
I have used Cosamin DS for a couple of years, since my physical therapist reccommended it to me. It does not make all the pain go away, but it does give me some relief.
Worth every penny!
I tried CosaminDS as a last resort for relief for my aching knees..(bursitis and arthritis.) I had tried Celebrex and other glucosamin chondroitn with no relief. I was doing research on the internet to try and get relief to my aches and pains when I came across all the glowing reviews for the Cosamin DS. I was convinced enough to buy a big bottle. Previously I could not work at my waitress job without being in major pain. I also had given up running and even walking because of the pain in my knees. Within a week of starting this product, 80% of the pain had gone away. I am taking the 3 tablets a day for the first 2 months then I am going to go down to 2 tablets a day. I am VERY happy with the performance of this product. I have taken up a little running again and now my legs are much more limber and almost free of pain. It helped a lot with the arthritis but I still have some lingering pain from the areas on my knees where I have bursitis. I have only taken the CosaminDS for a little over a month but there is no way I am going back to a generic version of the glucosamine chondroitin because I want to take what I feel is the best. I don't know what the long term results will be but at least I have a hope now for being almost pain free.

For some reason, the vendor required a signature upon delivery. This was never brought to my attention when I placed the order. This caused a huge inconvenience because the postal service did not attempt to bring the box - they just dropped off the postal slip which said "sorry we missed you". It was annoying to have to take a trip to the post office for a vitamin order!
Great product
I've only been taking these pills for a month, but so far so good. They don't taste like fish (but do smell like them) and I don't think I've started smelling weird because of them. I'm pregnant and living in a very polluted place where it is hard to get good quality seafood so this is the next best choice for me.
Watch out
At least a couple of these softgels turned up empty and leaked over the others causing a stale, fishy odor. Otherwise a good bargain.
Fish Oil = Great Health, Kirkland = Great Value
I have only been taking the pills for about a month now, so I can't necessarily say how well they work. I can say that I was really happy to see how big this bottle was when it arrived. Well worth the price!
Update November 2008:
I have now been taking these pills for 8 months and in a recent check-up the doctor told me my cholesterol was at amazing levels.
My 2008 cholesterol levels:
Total Cholesterol = 175 mg/dl (recommended below 200 mg/dl)
HDL Cholesterol = 95 mg/dl (recommended above 50 mg/dl)
LDL Cholesterol = N/A (below 100 mg/dl)
The doctor specifically told me that it was amazing for a 30 year old male to have an HDL of 95 and an LDL that was so low it did not register.
My 2007 cholesterol levels:
Total Cholesterol = 198 mg/dl (recommended below 200 mg/dl)
HDL Cholesterol = 61 mg/dl (recommended above 50 mg/dl)
LDL Cholesterol = 127 (below 100 mg/dl)
Aside from taking these pills my diet has remained the same. This suggests that these pills have done wonders for my cholesterol levels
While less scientific, I have also witnessed the following benefits

My husband and I are taking this product and feel great. The only thing was that it took forever to get to us. No complaints though since I got the super saver shipping. I will buy again considering the discount - I checked around and Amazon has the best prices. Also, I'll have to account for the 3 1/2 week ship time frame. No biggie but I didn't time my vitamins right. I ran out of my other brand and had 2 weeks of nothing so I could feel the difference right away with this product.

Excellent Product
Have used Carlson's for several years now. Excellent product and has the toxic mercury removed. So good for you and even tastes good (Really is tasteless, except for a mild lemon flavor. My grandchildren love it and take it without a problem.

Taste is just fine y'all
I've never had any cod liver oil but I know I need more Vitamin D plus the Omegas, so I bought two of these large glass bottles.
I just had my first teaspoon which is really a small amount. Wow! Hardly any taste besides a mild lemony taste. I'm not noticing much after taste at all. The smell is just of lemons.
Don't be afraid of cod liver oil if it's this brand with lemons.
FYI, the bottles just received in Oct 2008 are good until 5/12 unopened. After opening, you must refrigerate it. One of these large bottles has 100 doses of one teaspoon and you are encouraged on the label to use up the bottle within 100 days. Label also recommends you have it at mealtime.

Though this product has a great innovative idea.. (why didn't anyone think of doing this before???) I still think it falls short of any real benefits. The label reads:

It has Almost twice as much EPA as Kirklands Omega 3 and much less DHA. DHA is the main reason you want to take Omega 3 in the first place! I still will stick with Neurovi Omega 3 since it is affordable, and has only 35 mg of EPA. This product can not even compare in quality. You are much better off buying Kirklands but if you want the best of the best buy Neurovi. no fishy taste!
I ordered this product because my doctor recommended that I start taking Omega-3 supplements. My grandmother used to take fish oil capsules and she always complained about tasting fish for hours after taking the supplements. I chose this product since all the reviews said that it didn't have that affect.
I keep these in the fridge and have one with dinner. I just tear the package open and squeeze the supplement into my mouth. I hardly taste it and it goes down really easy. Although I don't taste fish later on, I do taste orange. I would rather taste orange than fish, so I'm fine with that.
These are easy to use and I'm happy with them. I'll definitely continue to buy them in the future!
